This is a simple blog to post the updates on my OT server.
I started hosting a private Minecraft server a few months ago, and wondered how hard it would be after that to host a Tibia one. Well, it wasn't very hard at all. I set it up and have been fooling around, and so far, probably would never go back to real Tibia. Unfortunately, since I started playing, the community has gone to hell, both in terms of the average player and cheaters. Whenever I hunt there now, I usually find nothing but bots, and when one is erased, it's seemingly replaced by another - almost in a queue-like fashion. I'll post here whenever I make updates.
v0.01 brought forth obviously the creation of the OT server, and a little penisula southeast of the town that contained largely minotaurs. There isn't much else there at the moment (wolves, a few cyclops).
- All the stock NPCs were replaced with regular NPCs to make the game harder. For example, the rune NPC doesn't sell pre-made runes, or even blank runes - and only sells the weakest healing and mana potions. He sells the potions at higher prices than normal, and only offers the first few wands.
- Loot was adjusted on some monsters (such as dragons, minotaurs, cyclops...)
- The anti-afk kick was set to 1440 (minutes) or 24 hours. This may or may not be permanent.
- The protection level (level where a character is safe from being attacked) has been removed.
- Added some small one-time map quests, and will avoid adding "quest boxes" a la the current Tibia system. I liked in the past when only people who used their mind and explored could obtain a valuable reward.
